I’m a freelance writer and researcher living in Brooklyn, NY.

My science- and medicine-related work are about the social context of health and disease. Some projects I’ve worked on: progressive experts’ responses to pandemic developments; the role of online dis- and misinformation in COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and skepticism; experiences and narratives of adolescent tuberculosis; and genomicists’ reification of race.

My nonfiction and poetry explore various themes: family, memory, obsession and desire, queerness, and Jewish/German-Jewish identity.

I also conduct oral history interviews with older people.
