about

I’m a freelance writer and researcher currently living in Providence, Rhode Island.

My nonfiction and poetry explore various themes: family, memory, obsession and desire, queerness, and Jewish/German-Jewish identity.

My science- and medicine-related work are about the social context of health and disease. Research projects have focused on the spread of misinformation and disinformation in COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and skepticism; narratives of adolescent tuberculosis and wellbeing; the construction of racial categories via genomic studies; and state interference in parenthood and reproductive justice in Vietnam, South Africa, & Argentina.
