I’m a freelance writer and researcher currently living in New York City.

My nonfiction and poetry explore various themes: family, memory, obsession and desire, queerness, and Jewish/German-Jewish identity.

My science- and medicine-related work are about the social context of health and disease. Projects I’ve worked on have focused on: the role of online dis- and misinformation in COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and skepticism; narratives and experiences of adolescent tuberculosis; the construction of racial categories via genomic studies; and state interference in reproductive justice in Vietnam, South Africa, & Argentina.

I also conduct oral history interviews with older people.
